DOCUP Dalton Organization of Churches United for People

Our organization began as a small cooperation of churches in 1987. Today we receive support from 25 churches and Sunday School classes, grants, EFSP funding and fundraisers. Our clients receive personal attention from volunteers who establish a budget and hear about the crisis. In 2016 we helped 719 households in Whitfield County who had a financial crisis, and provided services to others who did not receive financial assistance.

We provide short-term financial assistance to residents of Whitfield County who have income, but have encountered a crisis. We can help with rent, utilities or prescription costs once per year and 3x maximum.
