Disaster Action Team (DAT) members are the people who volunteer their time to show up in the middle of the night (or whenever a large-scale or small-scale disaster strikes) with the fire department, in the event of a house or apartment fire, to make sure the victims’ immediate needs are satisfied. DAT members will also be trained to help in the event of a hurricane in your area to help those in need.
To volunteer for this need you will have to fill out an application on redcross.org/volunteer or use the link below. Once on the site please feel free to explore other volunteer opportunities as well. All volunteer positions have free online training. All volunteers and employees will follow current Red Cross COVID-19 protocols.
Currently looking for DAT in counties (Fannin, Gilmer, Floyd, Bartow) currently at the moment.
