Whitfield Common and Whitfield Place - Senior Citizens Engagement

Expired

Description

Our social work capstone project is focused on eradicating social isolation among older adults. We want to provide social engagement opportunities for the residents of Whitfield Place and Whitfield Commons. This is a fun and great opportunity for students to obtain volunteer hours!

The events will be from 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm. Volunteers are not required to stay the entire time. Just come by and hang out with us for a little! Each event will count as one entry into our raffle for a Roadrunner volunteer shirt. Up to five winners!

See below for the location and activity on a particular day.

2/5/2026 - Whitfield Place: Painting and Games

2/10/2026 - Whitfield Commons: Painting and Games

2/26/2026 - Whitfield Commons: Table Games

3/3/2026 - Whitfield Place: Table Games

3/17/2026 - Whitfield Commons: Therapy Dogs

Please note: We do not need as many volunteers for the therapy dog days to avoid overwhelming the dogs!

If interested, you will be contacted with more information. Thank you!
